Vision (and a fair bit of colour!) is just what partners Leonie Yeoman and Kristin Copson had when they founded Ready Resumes two years ago with the mission of revolutionising the resume market. Along with a stable of designers around the world, this dynamic duo has been meeting that goal through their unique web-based business branded with the bold statement: As a copywriter and graphic designer, Kristin has designed award-winning brochures and successful marketing material – resumes included – for countless clients over the past 15 years…including herself. She’s seen firsthand the power of the visual, and its nearly unbeatable strength when coupled with razor-sharp words. Having worked for several companies in Australia and abroad, she has been part of the recruiting process on a number of occasions, and saw a big opportunity for improvement. Detail-manic Kristin personally oversees the creation of each new resume design concept, as well as the layout and completion of each and every Ready Resume.When she isn’t obsessing over character counts and new designs, she shares her free time with a (thankfully) supportive husband, energetic 18-month old daughter and two flatulent Basset Hounds who are employed by the company as footstools.  Leonie Yeoman (the dark-haired one) With a background in media production, sales and marketing, Leonie always used her resume creatively to land the jobs she wanted, once even sending her resume inside a helium balloon. (This won her a coveted national audition for a prime time television show, the only female to be auditioned). An over-riding urge to do something different and help others ‘stand out from the crowd’ led to a perfect ideas-match with partner Kristin and together they’re taking on the world! Now nurturing several new business ventures from their infancy, this enthusiastic entrepreneur brings a boatload of creative vision and energy to the Ready Resumes table – not to mention a host of SEO skills. When she’s not in front of her computer researching, learning, developing and generally banging away, she contemplates her rewarding life and future, with winners of “World’s Best Husband” and “Best and Dearest Son”. |
